Cynthia Norris & Patrice Henderson in Transforming Human Consciousness

by staff

Cynthia Norris and Patrice Henderson are two Baha’i singer, song writers, and musicians sharing their craft as they touch the better angels of our human spirit. The program was recorded in 1999. My apologies for the poor sound quality. I still treasure the recording in the light of its historical worth. The intermission part was recorded at a Baha’i school where Baha’i community members, families with their children come together to experience the elevating nature of the Baha’i community life. The passages from the Sacred Baha’i Writings they sang are as follows: O SON OF THE THRONE! Thy hearing is My hearing, hear thou therewith. Thy sight is My sight, do thou see therewith, that in thine inmost soul thou mayest testify unto My exalted sanctity, and I within Myself may bear witness unto an exalted station for thee. Bahá’u’lláh “O servant of Bahá! Music is regarded as a praiseworthy science at the Threshold of the Almighty, so that thou mayest chant verses at large gatherings and congregations in a most wondrous melody and raise such hymns of praise at the Mashriqu’l-Adhkár as to enrapture the Concourse on High. Bahá’u’lláh Blessed is the spot, and the house, and the place, and the city, and the heart, and the mountain, and the refuge, and the cave, and the valley, and the land, and the sea, and the island, and the meadow where mention of God hath been made, and His praise glorified. Bahá’u’lláh
