Education is a basic human right

Hundreds of Baha’i students in Iran are cut off from educational opportunities because they believe in the oneness of God, the oneness of all humanity and the oneness of all religions.

"So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth."
Baha'u'llah

About Us

We value basic human rights for all. We partner with Center for Global Integrated Education; Inc. to invite global support for the basic human rights of the Baha’i families , and children in Iran.

Our Mission

Support the Baha’i families in Iran to stay resilient in the face of on going religious persecutions and banning of higher education.

Our Vision

Human rights are God given rights and every one’s right should be respected. We envision a day when everyone is included, and a new world of opportunities is available to all people so that no one is left behind and every one is given a chance to contribute to the betterment of the world.

“And the honor and distinction of the individual consist in this, that he among all the world’s multitudes should become a source of social good. Is any larger bounty conceivable than this, that an individual, looking within himself, should find that by the confirming grace of God he has become the cause of peace and well-being, of happiness and advantage to his fellow men? No, by the one true God, there is no greater bliss, no more complete delight.”

— ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, The Secret of Divine Civilization

Our Values

Bahá’u’lláh compared the world of humanity to the human body. Within this organism, millions of cells, diverse in form and function, play their part in maintaining a healthy system. The principle that governs the functioning of the body is cooperation. Its various parts do not compete for resources; rather, each cell, from its inception, is linked to a continuous process of giving and receiving.

Acceptance of the oneness of humanity demands that prejudice—whether racial, religious, or gender related—must be totally eliminated.

Know yourself
"Strain every nerve to acquire both inner and outer perfections, for the fruit of the human tree hath ever been and will ever be perfections both within and without. It is not desirable that a man be left without knowledge or skills, for he is then but a barren tree. Then, so much as capacity and capability allow, ye needs must deck the tree of being with fruits such as knowledge, wisdom, spiritual perception and eloquent speech. "
– Baha’u’llah, from a tablet translated from the Persian.
Knowledge is as wings to man’s life
Arts, crafts and sciences uplift the world of being, and are conducive to its exaltation. Knowledge is as wings to man’s life, and a ladder for his ascent. Its acquisition is incumbent upon everyone. The knowledge of such sciences, however, should be acquired as can profit the peoples of the earth, and not those which begin with words and end with words … In truth, knowledge is a veritable treasure for man, and a source of glory, of bounty, of joy, of exaltation, of cheer and gladness unto him. Happy the man that cleaveth unto it, and woe betide the heedless.
– Baha’u’llah, Epistle to the Son of the Wolf, pp. 26-27.
Humanity is one
Humanity is one
Be ye as the fingers of one hand, the members of one body. Thus counseleth you the Pen of Revelation.
Bahá’u’lláh
Arts & Music
All Art is a gift of the Holy Spirit. When this light shines through the mind of a musician, it manifests itself in beautiful harmonies. Again, shining through the mind of a poet, it is seen in fine poetry and poetic prose. When the Light of the Sun of Truth inspires the mind of a painter, he produces marvellous pictures. These gifts are fulfilling their highest purpose, when showing forth the praise of God.
– Abdu’l-Baha, quoted in Lady Blomfield’s The Chosen Highway, p. 167.

History

Baha’is all over the world and particularly in Iran have been dedicated to the betterment of their society and recognized for their contribution to the progress and prosperity of their communities.

Kidsidebyside is established in 2000, to be the voice for the Baha’i students in Iran who were banned from attending university and were harassed, bullied and expelled by their school administrators, teachers, and classmates for their belief. We invited students and families from around the globe to use their artistic talents in support of the principle of the oneness of all humanity. Circle of Unity Drawings

Circle of Unity drawings Is a global invitation to raise awareness and support for the principle of the oneness of all humanity. We invite everyone to share with us their artistic talents in support of human rights for all especially the right to education for the Baha’i youth, and children in Iran.

“We should continually be establishing new bases for human happiness and creating and promoting new instrumentalities toward this end. How excellent, how honorable is man if he arises to fulfill his responsibilities; how wretched and contemptible, if he shuts his eyes to the welfare of society and wastes his precious life in pursuing his own selfish interests and personal advantages. Supreme happiness is man’s, and he beholds the signs of God in the world and in the human soul, if he urges on the steed of high endeavor in the arena of civilization and justice.”
